New Boys!!

I was fortunate enough to be able to adopt two very sweet, big boys from the HVRR shelter - Benny and Blue. The wonderful woman who runs the shelter was contacted about two adult male rats who were no longer wanted by their owner - apparently her husband was giving her a lot of grief over them. So K. decided to make a trip all the way out to the city (an hour and a half drive) to pick up the boys. This is not something she normally has time to do, but the boys were in danger of becoming snake food. So she calls the woman on the agreed upon date, and the woman informs her that she has already dumped them off at Petco and they were to be sold as feeders. Now, super determined to resuce the boys, K. drives over to the Petco, explains the situation and they still made her PAY for the boys - though at a discount... These boys are soooo sweet and loveable!! I can't believe that the woman just dumped them off like that!!
