Mixed Tribe

Two lovely boys have found their way into my home...Merlin and Tipper. Both boys came from the same rescue shelter as the girls and under similar circumstances. All of my living babies were litters born of irresponsible people either trying to start a "breeding" business or from already pregnant rats purchased at pet stores.

Merlin was adopted out a year ago, but apparently became a biter under the care of his primary adopter. I have had no issues with biting and in fact, he is quite a lover and has to have his morning scritches. Also, he is one of the only ones who will sit still in my lap long enough for me to scritch him all over.

Tipper was adopted out, but returned with the SDA corona virus along with 4 other rats when the adopter discovered that they were sick (after being exposed to a pet store rat who had not been quarantined). During Tipper's illness, he developed a severe ear infection and currently has a pretty severe head tilt. Although the wonderful woman who runs the shelter did her best to make sure he properly healed, he will probably always have the tilt... Of course I think that's what makes him so adorable!

I'm so glad to see Tipper got a great home. He's a very special ratty. I enjoyed quarantining him for Kaia.
